Chankya also known as Kautilya, recognized by his brilliance,wisdom and knowledge was one of the greatest personality of Indian History. He was an adviser of the legendary king Chandragupta Maurya who founded the Mauryan Empire. Chankya was expert in the fields of commerce and economics on which he has done famous work known as 'Arthashastra'. Everyone generally knows about him but very few of us knows about his tragic death and I am going to share my knowledge with you.

As we all know that Chandragupta Maurya became the king because of faith, belief and trust of Chanakya only, that he would bring prosperity in their Kingdom and he'll also look out for public welfare as well. During the time of Chandragupta's rule, his life was in danger as he was having many rivals, many attempts were also made to kill him. So, Chankya gives him little bit of poison mixed in his food so that his body develop resistance among poisons. This was not known to anybody even Chandragupta too didn't knew anything about it.

One day Chandragupta's wife asked him to share his food with her and at that time his wife was pregnant. So as she eat a single bite of that food, she became unconscious. The Ved (doctors who knows Ayurveda very well ) who were present there said Chandrgupta that poison has infected almost every part of the her body, so her baby can be saved only if they cut her womb and take baby out of her body. Now on the advice of Chanakya, Chandragupta cuts her wife's womb and took out his baby. That baby after growing up was known as Bindusara, father of Ashoka The Great. After sometime, Chandragupta gave up his kingship, adopted Jainism and leave his kingdom Maghadha. After him, his son Bindusara became the emperor of Magadha. Chanakya was their in the kingdom only on his designated post. Many were their in the kingdom who were jealous of Chanakya and wanted him to be dead because of his intelligence as well as his reputation in the eyes of the new ruler. So they planned his murder by telling only one part to the king about his birth that Chanakya was responsible of the death of his mother. After knowing only half phase, Bindusara ordered for Chanakya's abandon from the kingdom. From here, their are two descriptions:
